The Altar Guild helps clean the church of either Thursday or Friday mornings. This is an adult ministry that requires physical activity to clean, mop, dust and organize the church and sacristy. The Altar Guild is ideal for those with limited time. Volunteers work in teams of two, once a month and schedules are flexible.

The Bereavement ministry provides a reception in Dohony Hall after the funeral of a parshioner, if requested. Due to the emotional nature of grieving, this is an adult only ministry. It is ideal for those with limited time or physical limitations. New members are welcome.

Volunteers maintain the church grounds and gardens. You can also adopt a garden by claimimg a section of grounds to care for independently. Gather occusionally from May through October to weed, rake and trim the greenery. There are two large events: spring and fall campus clean-up, usually held on a Saturday from 9:00AM-2:00PM. These events also allow the youth of the parish to volunteer for school or confirmation service hours. This is an ideal volunteer opportunity for supervised children, teens, and those with limited time.

The Grassroots committee provides and serves a hot meal to our homeless and indigent neighbors in Howard County. Meals are prepared, delivered and served at the Grassroots Day Resource Center in Jessup, MD on the third Wednesday of the month from 3:30-6:00PM.
Grassroots Crisis Intervention provides various services to those in need, such as but limited to: food & grocery distribution, temporary housing solutions, cold weather shelter from November through March at local hotels and crisis hotline services. The Knights of Columbus, Saint Agnes Council work to support the parish priests, deacons and church community. Programs focus on family, community, pro-life, youth, council and church. Business meetings occur monthly on the first Monday of the month and open meetings are held on the third Monday of the month. Membership is exclusive to Catholic men and is ideal for men with limited time and physical limitations.

The Nursery is a nurturing and fun environment to care for children ages 1 to 5 years old while parents enjoy Mass. Parents with infants and younger children are welcome to stay in the Nursery and watch Mass on a closed-circuit TV. Two adult volunteers must be in the Nursery, if not, parents are required to stay with their children. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old and have completed Worthy of the Call training or if 18 years of age completed VIRTUS training before helping in the nursery. St. Vincent de Paul serves the residents of Howard County by providing emergency assistance to families and individuals in need through the food pantry located at Church of the Resurrection, funds to restore utility service, rental assistance and emergency medication. St. Paul holds a food drive the first weekend of odd number months: January, March, May, July, September and November. Volunteers are needed to help transport and organize donated food items. We are always looking for new memebrs to help us serve our community.

The tabulators meet weekly to count the money from weekly collections and prepare a detailed accounting of all collections. Volunteers must commit about two hours one or twice a month. They usually meet on Monday mornings around 9:30AM but are subject to change the meeting day based on the holiday calendar and the office schedule. This ministry requires the ability to navigate stairs.
